Long, long ago, in a peaceful land far away, there lived a very special little girl whose name was Alice. Poor Alice didn't have a mommy or a daddy, so she was an orphan, and life was sometimes very, very hard for her. She often felt hungry and longed for a warm, cozy home and yummy food to eat. This made her feel a little bit lonely, but she always tried to be brave.

One bright and sunny morning, as Alice was walking all by herself, carefully looking for anything helpful, her eyes suddenly spotted something truly amazing! Lying right there on the green grass was a shiny, bright red apple! Oh, it looked so incredibly juicy and yummy, just perfect for a snack, even though it had a tiny bit of dirt on it. Alice's tummy rumbled loudly because she was feeling very, very hungry and wished for something delicious to eat.

As Alice slowly and gently reached out her hand to pick up the beautiful red apple, a tiny, busy black ant suddenly popped up from behind a green leaf, right next to the apple! 'Hey there! Stop right there! That's my apple!' said the little ant in a squeaky voice that sounded very determined. 'I found this yummy apple first, all by myself, and it's for my family!'

Alice felt a little surprised by the talking ant, and she quickly said, 'Oh dear, I am so very, very sorry! I truly didn't see you there, little ant, as you are so small and clever.' Then, being very kind, she asked, 'Could we please, please share this delicious apple? My tummy feels so empty, and this apple looks much, much too big for just one tiny ant like you to carry alone!' But the little black ant shook its head 'no' very firmly. 'No, no, no!' chirped the ant. 'This big, yummy apple is not just for me; it's for my whole, entire family back in our ant hill! We need it for our dinner!'

Suddenly, at that very moment, Alice and the little ant heard a tiny, soft, whispering voice! It sounded like it was coming right from the apple itself! 'Plant me! Oh, please plant me in the soft earth!' the shiny red apple whispered to them. Alice and the ant looked at each other with wide, surprised eyes! They couldn't believe what they had just heard – an apple that could talk! After a moment of wonder, they both nodded their heads, agreeing with the magical apple. They decided together to plant the special apple right away.

So, with great care and excitement, Alice and her new friend, the little ant, worked together as a team. They found a perfect spot, sunny and soft, and gently planted the magical red apple right in front of Alice's small, old, but cozy house. They covered it gently with soft brown soil, making sure it was tucked in safely. As they stood up, dusting their hands, they both felt a tingly feeling of wonder and excitement and wondered with all their hearts what amazing thing would happen next with their special planted apple! It was a true adventure!

The very next morning, as soon as the bright yellow sun peeked over the green hills, Alice and the little ant ran outside as fast as their legs could carry them! They couldn't wait even one more second to see what had happened overnight. 'Wow!' they both shouted at the very top of their voices, their eyes sparkling with wonder and disbelief. Right there, where they had planted the apple yesterday, a tiny, green apple tree had magically grown tall! It was truly an unbelievable and beautiful sight that filled their hearts with joy.

And that little apple tree grew super, super fast, almost like a magical trick! Every single day, it got bigger and taller, reaching for the sky. In just one short week, the tiny sapling had become a huge, magnificent, full-grown apple tree! It was completely covered from top to bottom with so many, many shiny, bright red apples, all plump and ready to be picked! It was a truly bountiful and beautiful sight that promised much happiness.

Alice and her tiny ant friend worked together to pick lots and lots of the delicious, red apples from their amazing new tree. Then, they carefully carried the baskets overflowing with apples to the bustling market in the nearby town. Oh, how people loved their yummy, shiny, and sweet apples! Everyone wanted to buy them because they were so fresh and perfect. Because the apples were so special and tasty, they sold out very, very fast every single day! It was a great success, and they earned a good amount of money.

The truly magical apple tree kept making more and more delicious fruit, never stopping its wonderful production! Because of this amazing tree, Alice and her little ant friend soon had lots and lots of money. They became very rich, but they never, ever forgot where they came from or how they started. Alice and the ant lived happily ever after, in comfort and joy, always grateful for their special apple. Even with all their new money and abundance, Alice and the kind ant were still very kind and generous. They always made sure to share their fresh, juicy apples and many other good things with all the other children and friends who needed them in the village. They taught everyone that kindness and sharing are the real treasures in life, more valuable than any gold!
