The Hurt Fruit Trees

One bright and sunny day, two grown-up men were working very hard in a garden. They had special tools and were carefully cutting some of the long branches and small twigs from a tall, green mango tree. They were planning to make a fun new place right in front of their house, where they could play a game called badminton!
When night came, and the moon shone in the sky, the big mango tree felt very, very sad. It whispered quiet sobs because some of its beautiful, leafy parts were now gone. "Oh, those humans are not always kind," said the friendly rambutan tree, which grew right next to the mango tree. "They just do whatever they want to us, the trees!"
The rambutan tree sighed and pointed with one of its branches. "Look closely at me," it sadly added. "See that big, shiny nail stuck right into my strong body? Oh, my body still feels a bit sore and hurts even now because of it."
The big mango tree nodded its leafy branches. "Yes, I completely agree with you, dear rambutan tree," it said with a little grumble in its leaves. "Sometimes, people can be not very thoughtful. They even tie us up with hard, tight wire just to hang their wet clothes. When they do that, our bodies feel squished and tight, and it stops us from growing tall and strong like we should!"
The mango tree continued to share its worries. "And sometimes, even the little children can be a bit unkind," it whispered. "They often use small slingshots to shoot at our juicy, ripe fruits. And sometimes, those hard little stones accidentally hit and hurt our tree bodies, making them feel sore."
The rambutan tree shook its branches gently. "You know, humans can sometimes be rougher than the forest animals," it replied thoughtfully. "On my trunk and branches, lots of tiny ants build their busy homes, and even soft pigeons make cozy nests in my leaves. But none of them ever, ever hurt me." The two old trees continued to whisper and chat about their day until the moon was high and it was very late at night, before they finally drifted off to sleep.
When the sun peeked over the horizon the very next morning, a loud, frightened scream echoed through the garden! It was the rambutan tree. "Oh, mango tree, look! Look quickly!" it cried out in a shaky voice. "Those men! They want to chop me down!" The mango tree was very, very shocked, because it saw the same two men walking straight towards the rambutan tree, carrying a big, shiny axe!
Soon after, the two men began to swing their heavy axes, one after another, hitting the rambutan tree's strong trunk again and again. The poor rambutan tree cried out loudly in pain with every chop, but the men didn't seem to notice its sorrow. Just before the giant tree fell down to the ground with a mighty crash, the rambutan tree whispered one last, soft message to its friend: "Goodbye, my dear friend. Please take good care of yourself."
The two men didn't stop their work after the rambutan tree fell. Oh no. After the big tree landed on the ground, they began to cut its long, thick trunk into many smaller pieces. The mango tree wondered if the rambutan tree's pieces would be used to make a warm fire in the cold winter, perhaps as firewood for cooking or staying warm.
With big, silent tears sliding down its rough bark, the mango tree sadly looked at the small, empty stump where its friend, the rambutan tree, used to stand tall. "Oh, what a very, very sad thing that happened to you, my dear friend," the mango tree thought deeply in its heart. But then, a little bit of happiness arrived! All the little ants and the soft pigeons who used to live on the rambutan tree had safely moved their busy homes and cozy nests to the branches of the mango tree, so it still had friendly animals to keep it company.
