Every single day, from early morning until the sun began to set, a kind and hardworking boy named Jaka bravely pushed his big, sturdy cart all around the busy, bustling city. He wasn't playing; he was looking for special items that people had thrown away, like shiny plastic bottles or old, crinkly newspapers, that he could gather and sell again to help the planet and his family. Jaka had to stop going to school, which made him a little sad, because his dear father had passed away, and he needed to help his beloved, elderly mother and younger sibling put food on the table and keep their home warm.

Even though Jaka had a tough job as a scavenger, it didn't change his kind and loving heart one bit! He loved to help others, whether they were big or small, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. For example, he would always stand by the busy street and carefully help little school children safely cross when the traffic was heavy, making sure they walked only on the bright green light and stayed safe from the rushing cars. His kindness shone brightly, even on the busiest days.

Jaka's kind heart was always looking out for others. If he ever saw someone nearby who had a small accident, like tripping over a pebble or dropping their groceries, even if it was just a little fall, he would immediately run over as fast as his legs could carry him! He would quickly offer his help, asking in his gentle voice, "Are you okay? Do you need anything at all? I can help you pick that up!" He always wanted to make sure everyone was safe and sound.

Jaka also often used his cleverness to help drivers when many cars got stuck in noisy traffic jams and there were no friendly police officers around to guide them. With his cart pushed to the side, he would bravely step in and direct the cars, waving his hands to show them where to go, helping the cars move smoothly again. The amazing thing was, he never, ever asked for money from the drivers; he did all his good deeds with a truly honest and happy heart, just wanting to help his community.

One warm, sunny afternoon, Jaka was quietly pushing his cart filled with collected items into a beautiful, quiet residential area, where houses were big and pretty. As he worked, he noticed that some people were looking at him with curious or even suspicious eyes, as if they didn't trust him because of his job. But Jaka, being a strong and understanding boy, was used to facing people who sometimes didn't understand him or didn't like what he did, and he just kept doing his honest work with a good heart.

While he was carefully pushing his cart along the clean sidewalk, Jaka's sharp eyes suddenly saw something important fall from a lady's hand – *thud!* it was her small, brown wallet! But the lady did not notice it at all and kept walking away, chatting on her phone. "Excuse me, ma'am! You dropped something!" Jaka shouted loudly, his voice echoing a little, but she didn't hear him over the city noises and walked even further away, completely unaware.

Without thinking for even one second, Jaka quickly, quickly picked up the fallen wallet from the ground. His heart knew exactly what he had to do. Then, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him, holding the wallet tightly but carefully in his hand, trying to catch up to the lady to give her important wallet back. He wanted to make sure she got her precious belongings back right away, showing his true and honest character.

But instead of saying "thank you" or smiling, the lady suddenly turned around and, without a word, slapped Jaka's cheek, not once, but twice, very hard! "You must be a sneaky thief!" the angry lady shouted, her voice loud and upset. Jaka rubbed his cheek, which stung a little, feeling so surprised and a little sad, because he didn't expect to be hurt or accused for trying to help. "I am an honest scavenger, not a thief," Jaka bravely said, even though his voice was a little shaky and he felt upset, and he started to quietly walk away, feeling misunderstood.

"Wait a minute!" the lady quickly called out, her voice now softer, as she saw Jaka walking away and started to check inside her wallet. Her eyes widened, and she smiled a big, relieved smile because everything was still there, safe and sound, nothing was missing at all! Feeling very, very sorry and thankful, she took out a shiny paper bill, a crisp new one, and offered it to the honest scavenger as a reward. But Jaka, with his honest and humble heart, politely shook his head and gently refused the lady's money, showing that he helped because it was the right thing to do, not for a reward.

Jaka spends his days searching diligently for recyclable items, bravely pushing his cart to help his loving mother and his younger sibling, ensuring they have enough to eat and a warm home. He doesn't go to a regular school like other children, which he sometimes misses, but every single night, Jaka goes to a special tutoring program organized by kind people in his village who believe in him. He studies hard and truly hopes that one day, his life will change, and he will have a much brighter and better future, all thanks to his honesty, hard work, and the help of his caring community.
