On a bright and sunny Sunday morning, a little girl named Nadine gave her dear mother a big hug goodbye. Her kind father was going to take Nadine on a special adventure to visit her beloved grandfather, who lived in a peaceful village. Nadine was so excited because she would get to spend her whole school holiday playing and exploring there!

They started their journey by riding on a big, comfortable bus. All during the long ride, Nadine was super busy playing fun online games on her little mobile phone. Her eyes were glued to the bright screen, and she didn't want to miss a single moment of her game!

After riding on the bus for about two hours, they finally arrived at a small river port. This was where their journey would change! They had to leave the bus and get into a motorboat to continue their trip, going upstream along the river to reach her grandfather's cozy house. Oh no! Just then, Nadine noticed something. Her mobile phone's battery had run out, and she couldn't play her games anymore!

As the sun climbed high in the sky, getting closer to noon, Nadine and her father finally arrived at her grandfather's charming house. Her sweet grandparents were so happy to see them and welcomed them with big smiles and warm hugs! Shortly after they enjoyed a delicious dinner together, Nadine felt very sleepy and went straight to bed. But before she drifted off to sleep, she remembered to plug in her phone to recharge its battery.

Very early the next morning, as soon as Nadine woke up, her first thought was to turn on her phone! She quickly pressed the button, but oh dear! There was no internet signal at all. She ran outside the house, holding her phone up high, hoping to find a signal, but still, no luck! "Oh no," she wondered to herself with a little sigh, "What in the world should I do if there's no signal to play my games?"

Feeling very curious and a bit worried, Nadine went to a higher spot in the village, hoping to find a better place for a signal. But no matter where she walked or how high she held her phone, there was still no signal at all. Nadine saw a friendly man drinking coffee at a local shop and bravely asked him about the internet. The man kindly told her that there was no internet in their village yet! People there only used their mobile phones to listen to happy music or as bright flashlights when it got dark at night.

Nadine felt very disappointed because she couldn't play her favorite online games. Her wise grandfather, seeing her sadness, suggested that Nadine go outside and play with all the other children in the village. At first, Nadine felt a little bit shy and awkward playing with kids she had just met, but soon, she started to feel comfortable! She began to have so much fun and truly enjoyed playing with her wonderful new friends.

The children in the village were so happy and full of laughter! They didn't have mobile phones, and they never played online games, but they always had the best time, especially when they played together. Every single day, the children in the village would run and play exciting games of soccer, go fishing in the river, climb tall trees like monkeys, swim in cool water, swing high on big swings, and do so many other fun activities outside!

As the days of her holiday flew by, Nadine found herself enjoying playing with her grandfather's neighbors more and more. She was having such a fantastic time that she even forgot all about her mobile phone! She realized she could truly enjoy her vacation, even without playing any online games. Real-life fun was much better!

Before she knew it, two whole weeks had passed since Nadine had been staying at her grandfather's house. It was time for her to go back home and get ready for school again. She felt a little sad to leave, but she was so, so impressed with all her wonderful new friends. She had to say goodbye to them all. "Thank you so much, my dear friends," Nadine said to her playmates with a big smile and a wave. "I had the best time playing with all of you. I will definitely come back to visit!"
